{start time: 2:27pm}

OH FUCKING HELL....here we go.. DECEMBER 1ST....went a little like this..

ahem. sooo the greatest night ever started out with me and Nicole leaving school at lunch and going on home. We got all our shit together and ready and walked the 7 blocks to the nearest city bus stop. well, we sat there... in freezing cold weather on the curb... waiting for that damn bus. apparently it was 'suppose' to come every half an hour.. we were there for 45 minutes before calling up Jerry's Taxi.. (thank god its on my speed dial for my cell) and within 5 minutes some crack head lady taxi driver came and took us away. but of course, as we turned the corner, obviously the bus was right there and we missed it by about 3 minutes. oh well. not important. so anyways.. our cab lady was cracked. i swear. she was a creepy-hating life-manic depressant who scared us a little and kept talking about Finger 11 (??) so $18 later, we get to the tunnel bus.. station..thing? yeah and we get on the tunnel bus and headed over to the US.. mm.. Michigan.

So the bus driver dropped us off 3 blocks away from Cobo Hall so we walked quickly through the intimidating streets in Detroit. But we eventually get there and headed into the building, down the hall, down the blue escelator, through the doors where we found the line up for people who had floor. we were about the 30th in line. not bad.mind you we got there 4 hours in advance. but soon the entire basement area was filled with people lining up behind us. we made friends with a group of 15 year old girls who were American and their mom. I never knew how much fun discussing 'Canadian accents' could be. I pretty sure they wanted us to say every word in the dictionary. And then of course they wanted us to show them our money because of the colourfulness... or should i say COLORfulness. so hours later, the finally give us our wristbands, check our tickets and open the doors....

Nicole and I hurry in, ditch our coats behind the merch booth and bolt to the front row. thats right. F-R-O-N-T R-O-W. ...center... front row center... eeeeeyup! i was quite happy with where i was. But since Nicole isn't all into being in the front and would rather be in the middle where all the moshing is, she said "I'll see you tonight at the merch booth at the end of everything, have a good night." and with that, she left and i didn't see her the rest of the night. But it's okay, i made friends with some hardcore Used fan to my left, and some GC fan to my right. not to mention the cool secruity guard who gave me lots of water and a studded star bracelette.

Soon after standing there for a little while, I spotted Heather, Jon, Joselyne and Janelle in their seats where we all shared a waving fiasco. After about half an hour of everyone getting settled into their seats and more and more people coming onto the floor behind me, Phat Matt and Kelly from 89X came on and said hello and introduced the first band of the night; Taking Back Sunday...

okay, so Taking Back Sunday was simply amazing. This was the second time i saw them live. They were and are the shit. Adam's hair seems to be getting longer every day... wash it maybe? once? no? okay. Unfortunatly they only got a 25 minute set and played:
A Decade Under The Influence
Cute Without The E
Set Phasers To Stun
This Photograph Is Proof
they played another song too...but i can remember right now which one it was.. hmm... oh well.. Surprisingly the crowd wasn't that rowdy. ok. Next band..

The Used <333333
oh shit. Again, second time i've seen them live. but this time it was different from October 30th when I saw them...this time i wasn't in the balcony. they were fucking awesome! Bert has 3 very distinct freckles on his leg. Come on...THATS how close i was. Sadly...VERY sadly.. they too only got a 25 minute set and sang:
Take It Away
Box Full Of Sharp Objects
Listening
I'm a Fake (favourite!!!!!!!)
and one more..i think..hmm..possibly. anyhow, that crowd was a bit more rough than TBS was.. being pushed up against the gate feels great. espeically when you can lift up your feet and still stay in the same spot and feel your ribs being pushed together, yes. i love it. not? I was disapointed that Quinn and Bert didn't make out...because they tend to do that.. a lot.. although Bert was all "I want to have sex with each and every one of you!" which was hawt. After The Used finished up i got a text message from Heather asking if I was still alive. i was. alright.. onto Franz..

Franz Ferdinand put on a pretty good show.. also the lead singer and other guitarist are quite cute. I only knew like 3 of the songs they performed but thats okay. Plus it seemed the entire area i was in relaxed a lil' so my body took a nice rest too. well.. hmm

ok..so next to play was Jimmy Eat World. They were very good too. And something surprised me was that was the roughest crowd out of all the bands that night. I think EVERY single person just HAD to crowd surf during them. I definately had like... 10 people fall onto my head but into the secruity guards arms.. it was scary... couldn't really pay attention to the band because i had my head down protecting it when my hands and arms. but still... the music was good. oh god..ok.... Good Charlotte....

Here we go...Fourth time seeing them in concert.. wait..5th time? not sure..not important either. what's important is that i was front row... infront Joel... By the way...Chris wasn't bald...he has hair. not a lot.. but he wasn't bald. They opened with The Anthem followed by:
Girls and Boys
Walk Away
S.O.S
Ghost Of You
Hold On
World Is Black
Mountain
Young and Hopeless
Predictable
LifeStyles
yup, i'm pretty sure that was the line up. sooo... i forgot to mention the fact that i was wearing my 'Mrs Joel Madden' hat that my mom got me off eBay... well...During Ghost Of You, Joel totally got right close to me and looked right at me. thats what i pointed to my hat... he definatly nodded, before a HUGE smile crossed his face. Then he continued to look at me for the MOST part of the entire song.... Like...looking...straight at *me* SMILING! fucking right! The chick next to me was like 'Holy shit! blow him a kiss or something!' but i couldnt... i could just stand there, with my arms out to him smiling back...it sounds really immature and like..yeah.. but i don't care... he was 3 feet away from me...just enough to be out of reach... but it was amazing. Later on i threw two stuffed animal Neopets i got months ago in a McDonalds happy meal, on stage as i watched as Billy looked, smiled and then kicked them to to drumset.. good times... yes. During the last song, Joel came down infront of me again, still on stage, but right close to me and he was sooo looking at me again so i started waving my hands and arms in the motion as to to say come down here..( as in off the stage and infront of the gate... but infront of me) and he smiled, laughed a bit (well it looked like he laughed) and then started doing the exact same hand motions i was doing to him, but to me... and it was hot...and i started laughing... but he never came down.. which sort of sucked... but not really.

Ok, so after all that was over and done with i met up with Nicole where we left our coats only to find out she busted up her nose in a mosh pit..but she was okay. what a trooper. so at this point i was all 'nicole, lets go outside and lets meet a band..mm..good charlotte?' and she was all for it so we walked around, waved to Franz Ferdinand on their bus and found a group of 11 year old girls waiting for them to come out of the building..yup... 11. and after waiting a short 20 minutes in freezing cold they slowly came out.

oh. shit. so there we were.. me and nicole... and about 14 other little girls. i was at the end of the 'line' and Benji came out first and walked right up to me first (maybe it was because i was the only one NOT screaming? who knows..) but yeah.. met him. he was cool. short.... very very short.. but cool. And then when he was signing the girls next to me, i sorta kinda stroked his arm..yes. anyways.. and then the others made their way out behind him. I told Paul that they were fucking amazing... didn't mean to swear.. but it kinda just came out and he said thanks and that he had so much fun and stuff. Then Billy came to me and we were talking about his new puppy and how cold it was out. and then i stroked his arm too... you say childish? i say i dont give a damn. and then i played with his Dickies purse/bag..it was good. And then Chris came and he was cool too.. But wait...who are we missing in this picture?..oh right. Joel.. ah yes... he was the one who waved from the door they came out of, and then went straight into their van. Bad Night? Sick? Tired? who knows... but he didn't come out and meet us like the rest did.. yea, I'll admit.. i was VERY disapointed...ask Nicole...she was holding me up and rubbing my back comforting me.. maybe i overreacted... doesnt matter though. They all eventually got into their bus and drove away.

We soon walked a few blocks to the tunnel where we got back on the bus and headed back to Canada. We got over, went through customs, met up with Heather and Jon at Tim Hortons and then finally, went home and ended the night. Yes, it took me a long time to fall asleep.

Next concerts: January 23rd - Straylight Run, Something Corporate, and Hidden in Plain View.

February- The Used. (again)

and i was suppose to see My Chemical Romace tonight at the Shelter...but that didn't work out. but its ok.

But yeah, all in all.... Last night was serisouly one of the greatest nights ever... unfortunatly i didnt have a camera... sucks hardcore... but i'll just remember for next time. but what i am left with is bruises, signed GC cd cover and or course... memories. I'm still debating on whether or not it was better than Warped Tour this summer... hmm..

http://www.89xradio.com/xmas7_pics.htm GO THERE! those are the pictures that 89x took that night. and in the picture of the crowd, you can sorta see me.. Im next to the girl(in pink) in the front. i have a black hat on and am not looking at the camera... yea. like.. above that tree looking leafy thing.

hmm.. breakfest party at Karen's tomorrow.. I'm looking forward to that.
I love P.A days.. mmm no school...
